Photos were taken in Tallinn, Estonia, which has been a major Baltic port since the 13 century. It’s Old Town walled city area was built during medieval times of the 14th to 16th centuries. Tallinn is a city of 400 thousand with Estonia having a population of 1.5 million and a land area about one third the size of Iowa. Estonia gained its independence from Russia in 1991 with the fall of the USSR.
