Slovakia : Photos taken in Bratislava, Slovakia. Slovakia was part of Czechoslovakia until January 1st, 1993.

Hungary : Photos taker in Budapest, Hungary. Budapest straddles the Danube River with Buda on one side and Pest on the other side.

Germany : Photos were taken in the Danube River Towns of Passau and Regensburg, Germany.

Czech Republic : All Photos were taken in the Historical Old Town Area of Prague.

Austria : Photos were taken along the Danube River including Vienna, Durnstein and Salzburg Austria.

England : Photos taken in England - London, Salisbury, Cotswolds, Lake District and York.

Italy : Photos taken in Italy - Rome, Sorrento, Capri, Florance, Pisa, Venice and Verona.

France : Photos taken in France - Paris, Loire Valley, Beaune, St Paul DeVence and Nice

Sweden : Photos taken in Sweden - Stockholm, Toftholm and Sofier Palace

Denmark : Photos taken in Denmark - Copenhagen, Odense, Vejle, Ebeltoft and Ribe

Norway : Photos taken in Norway - Oslo, Flam, Bergen and several other locations. Norway is the most beautiful country we have ever traveled.

Estonia : Photos were taken in Tallinn, Estonia, which has been a major Baltic port since the 13 century. It’s Old Town walled city area was built during medieval times of the 14th to 16th centuries. Tallinn is a city of 400 thousand with Estonia having a population of 1.5 million and a land area about one third the size of Iowa. Estonia gained its independence from Russia in 1991 with the fall of the USSR.

Finland : Photos were taken in Helsinki, Finland, which was originally founded further inland by Sweden in 1550 and moved to its present location as a seaport in 1828. It has a population of about a half million. Finland’s total population is about 5 million.

Latvia : Photos were take in Riga, Latvia, which was founded in the 12th century and its Old Town area has medieval structures that date from the 13th to 16th Centuries. Latvia has a population of about 2.3 million and a land area about 20% larger than Iowa. Riga‘s population is about 800 thousand. Latvia gained its independence from Russia in 1991 with the fall of the USSR.

Lithuania : Photos were taken in Lithuania and its capital City of Vilnius. Lithuania has a population of 3.6 million and is half the size of Iowa. Vilnius dates from the 14th century and has a population of about 600 thousand. Its Old Town has structures dating from the 16th century in the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectural styles. Lithuania gained its independence from Russia in 1991 with the fall of the USSR.

Russia : All Russian Photos were taken in Moscow and St Petersburg. Moscow dates from 1100 AD and has a population of about 8 million. St Petersburg has a population of about 5 million. Construction of the city began in 1703 by order of Czar Peter the Great, who named it Saint Petersburg after his patron saint. It is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and is noted for its lavish Cathedrals and European style grand palaces. It is called by some the Venice of the North due to its many canals.
